A beautifully textured braid, known as Kohrai Gumi in Japanese and sometimes called "Buddhist Halo", is created by combining the sequences for the two previous structures.

The 2/2 twill sequence is repeated twice on each side, then the 1/1 sequence is repeated twice on each side. The diagram below shows the alternation of this new sequence in the braid.
